As a Tanzanian-German, and having grown up in different countries, Christina has a deep passion for humanity, development and capacity building. She holds a dual BA in Psychology and Criminology, a Masters of Arts in Visualisations, and a Masters in Educational Sciences. Christina is a Stanford Graduate School of Business alumni and a WISE Emerging Education Leader. In her prior role as Ubongo’s Chief Product Officer, she helped create stories and characters that are loved by millions of kids, and have helped millions of Black and Brown children, and children with albinism or disabilities, see themselves represented for the first time in the media that they consume. For the past four years, Christina has served as Ubongo’s COO, guiding the organisation into its growth-stage, focusing on a lean but effective structure, automation of processes and systems, and building a stronger culture of collaboration, in order to sustainably scale across Africa.
